Registration for RJCSTL 4-28-2021 Francis McIntosh Remembrance Event

RJCSTL is organizing a coalition-building event to begin our Community Remembrance Project for the lynching of Francis McIntosh. We invite RJCSTL members & their guests to join us on April 28, 2021 from 7:00-8:00pm in the north-west section of Kiener Plaza between 6th and 7th St along Chestnut St, the area where a mob abducted and killed Francis McIntosh on April 28, 1836.

Our intention is to hold a small, informal vigil for the coalition itself (your guests are welcome), to limit health risks of gathering in large groups. Please do not advertise the vigil on social media, through email, etc., as we are wanting to limit the size of the group in attendance, and thus are requesting that you register in advance if you plan to attend. This will also help with contract tracing, should that be necessary.

We ask everyone who will attend to follow public health guidelines by maintaining physical distance and wearing face masks, and that you not attend if feeling ill. There is a home baseball game at nearby Busch Stadium that evening, and we are starting at 7pm in part to avoid the pre-game crowd which may be in the area.
